TELESUR Company Background: The Telecommunications Company Suriname (Telesur) is the government owned full telecommunications service provider for the South American nation of Suriname. As a full service telecom provider (fixed and mobile telephony, Internet, data services, TV Stations) itis one of the largest mobile phone providers in Suriname and has recently invested in the Dutch market. Telesur is working with the drugstore chains -Kruidvat and Trekpleister - to distribute its mobile services; the service is also distributed through resellers and online. (Van de Roer, 2010) The company’s phone services provide facilities for both corporate and individual customers, which include telephone, internet and wireless GSM, HSDPA, and CDMA.
