FOR YOUR INFORMATION Looking to pay your CPSO membership fees online? Make sure you are using an up-to-date browser The Payment Card Industry (PCI) has introduced new requirements affecting all organizations that accept online credit card payments, including the CPSO. As part of these new security standards, CPSO members looking to pay their annual membership fees online must now ensure they do so using a recent version of their internet browser. According to the PCI: If the cardholder uses a deprecated browser (older than 2013) or an old device that does not support the Transport Layer Security 1.2 security protocol, the payment page will not be displayed. There will be no specific warning on the issue. The cardholder will have to upgrade to a new web browser. This means you must use, at a minimum: • Chrome v30 • Firefox v27 • Safari v7 • Internet Explorer v11 If members have any questions, we encourage them to call our physician advisors at 1-800-268-7096 Ext. 603. Are you receiving CPSO emails? The College uses email to communicate with you about important membership and regulatory updates. We try to keep our presence in your inbox to a minimum for essential notices and reminders only. You can expect to hear from us by email during annual renewal; after Council meetings; during elections in your district for Council members (every three years); and when we are consulting with the profession about changes that may affect you or your practice. The College works on the assumption that our members receive all of our emails. It is the responsibility of each member to make sure we have your current contact information, updated within 30 days of a change, and to ensure that the organization you work for does not block College emails. You are specifically required to provide us with a valid email address for communications from the College so that you do not miss important information. 36 DIALOGUE ISSUE 1, 2018
