The two types of diabetes..
In type one diabetes the body is not making any insulin at all because of an auto-immune response. In type two though, either the insulin doesn’t work or the body is immune to it. This insulin is normally produced in the pancreas. When the body detects the glucose levels rising insulin is released to be able to use this as energy. Glut-4 is very important in this function. Signal transduction cascade signals towards the cell surface, which allows that glut-4 to fuse with the membrane to allow glucose to enter the cell. The concentration increases and the glucose goes inside the cell to become ATP. If this glucose can not get though the body than homeostasis can’t occur.
