Molly Mooney – The National Stud

Hailing from Co . Kildare Ireland , getting involved with horses was going to be difficult to avoid . During my time in University College Dublin where I secured my degree in Food and Agribusiness , my interest in horse racing arose . Keen to learn as much as possible , I travelled to Ashford Stud Kentucky and worked for top class studs at home such as Derrinstown and Rathasker stud . My previous work experiences have given me fascinating insights to the world of breeding and sales .
The Development Programme is the perfect opportunity to expand my knowledge and allow me to build on the practical skills I have gained within the industry . I am really looking forward to joining the team in The National Stud and fully immersing myself in all the aspects of running a successful stud farm .

Callum Bartram-Bell – Racecourse Association

I completed my degree in Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham in 2020 . My interest in horse racing began when I was 15 , following my first meet at the Newmarket July course . From there I have become a member in both racing and breeding syndicates . After completing my degree , I decided to try something completely different , leading me to take part in E2SE course at the National Stud , and subsequently a job at Newsells Park Stud . During my time there , I have completed interviews for the Racing Post , Tattersalls and the Thoroughbred Daily News , sharing my path and experience of working within the industry to encourage more to consider it as a career option . All skills I look forward to advancing from the Development Programme . My career aspiration is to promote the racing industry both domestically and internationally to grow the sport ’ s audience and increase support to those working across the industry . Now that I have the experience of working on a thoroughbred stud , I look forward to learning in more depth about the racing and commercial side , like how racecourses operate and are managed . careersinracing . com
