Jess Tregoning – Ascot Racecourse
Having recently finished my degree studying Business and Management at the University of Exeter , I am really excited to have been accepted onto the British Horseracing Development Programme .
Throughout my life , I have been fortunate enough to ride horses
and compete in eventing . With my father being a racehorse trainer , I have always been surrounded by horseracing and working in the industry was a natural progression . I am heavily involved in all aspects of our yard day to day , whether that is riding out to running our social media which has developed my strong passion for our sport .
By engaging in this programme , I am really excited to work in a different part of the industry . I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to gain an insight into the operations of our most prestigious racecourse , Ascot . In this role , I am looking forward to combining my love for racing and my degree in business to explore the business side of racing and develop my career prospects further .
Bolupe Omisore – Newbury Racecourse
To myself , and to millions of sporting fans across the globe , sports means more than just competition . It helps drive us to succeed in other areas of our life and help deal with the ups and downs of life in general . I have aspirations to manage international sporting events and organisations . I have applied for the Development Programme to give me the opportunity to learn everything about British Horseracing and seek opportunities to make it a more sustainable sporting environment . I ’ m excited about learning how the horses are looked after and ready for races among other interests of mine . My ambitions are to develop a track record of sporting achievements , to help develop and broaden the fan base of British Horseracing to people and places not necessarily accustomed to . I would like to help make British Horseracing the most sustainable Horseracing in the world . 22
