Both her books have been immensely appreciated by the common masses. Both turned out to be bestsellers thanks to the relatable content, presentation and treatment. The selection of entrepreneurs was hailed as vivid and enlightening. The biographies were written in a very interactive manner which caught the fancy of the readers. Also the critical reception was highly favourable. Rashmi’s unique style was commended by the critics and so was her noble motive behind the initiative. Her abstinence from using complex terminology has made the books management friendly.
The author has managed to create awareness about the field of entrepreneurship among the Indian youth and also to inculcate certain management principles in them. Towards this end, she has used people who have ‘been there and done that’. In a country of disparity, Rashmi rightfully proves that where there is a will, there is a way. One doesn’t need to go to IIM Ahmedabad to become a successful entrepreneur. Throughout her books the tone is inspirational and optimistic. Unlike books pertaining to similar genre, she doesn’t impose her personal ideologies on the readers, thus giving them full freedom to interpret and choose their own path. However, it is recommended not to read these books like thrillers. Rather, they can be sufficiently enjoyed if you chew them, digest them and savour them little by little.
Surely, Rashmi Bansal is an author who has made an indelible impression on India and her youth.
