There are one-of-a-kind hand crafted metal
coolers, wine glasses that are etched with
natural materials like pinecones, insulated
wine mugs, hats and t-shirts; but the shop
is perhaps best known for the wine making
experience it offers. Company owner Sharon
Thorson says she and her husband decided
to start up the business after getting great
feedback about the wine they made for their
daughter’s wedding.

One batch makes 30 bottles, which sell for
between $4 and $7 per bottle once all is said
and done.
In addition to wine and wine accessories, It’s
A Wing Ding Thing also sells B & B Farm Co
soaps, which are made by Thorson’s sister.
“They are all natural goat soap made with
essential oils, and no chemicals,” she says.
Among the scents available: mango, gardenia,
cucumber and melon.

“You will come in one day for about 10 or 15
minutes and mix your wine, then it stays with
me for about 4-to-5 weeks while it ferments.
You then come back and during an hour-and-
a-half experience make your own labels and
bottle the wine,” she says.

You can mix pretty much any type of wine

A Wing Ding Thing, but Thorson says red and
white wines like chardonnay and pinot noir
are the most popular. It’s important to keep in
mind if you decide to try out the experience,
you won’t walk away with the product the
same day.
