Clubhouse and Putting Green
Whiskey after golf Proshop
Wee Dram New Course visit well-guarded green with water on the left and right . On the 4th hole , you have to play over water at some point ( no matter which of the 6 + tees you choose to play off ) whether it ’ s a big hitter taking on the corner to a green 295 yards away , or the more sensible golfer who lays up but still has to hit over the water for your approach shot . This area of the course will offer a blanket area of heather , which will burst in colour when in bloom . The par-3 7th could be a much-pictured hole , playing severely uphill over 170 yards from the back tee . Misjudge the wind and you ’ ll have a long chip back up to try and save par .
From the 8th hole , you enter “ the Southern Dome ”, which is arguably the best set of dunes on the whole course . Here you will see the original “ comicle dunes ” which form like triangles and are pretty unique . Don ’ t be surprised if you see some local wildlife here too , such as badgers , otters , or deer . And a World War II pillbox ( small ,
44 DestinationGolf . travel fortified structures constructed as a part of British anti-invasion preparations , popularly known as pillboxes , a reference to their shape )!
Once you work your way over to the 11th , heading north , you hit across a chasm with sea on your right to a narrow fairway , at least that ’ s the illusion you believe from the teebox . Another hole that will be much pictured is the par-3 12th , a deceptively easy hole about 120-yards . But don ’ t put the camera away , as the vista from the back of the 14th green will be pretty special too .
The par-5 15th is a beast off its ultimate length of 670 yards from the back tee ( but you are coming back with the wind behind you on the last few holes ), featuring huge dunes all down the left side , with water features down the right and a burren that will run down the hole into a lake . The landscape changes one last time when you play up the hill to the
18th green , where an infinity green opens to the right to offer the most incredible view of the Championship course and clubhouse . And then it ’ s time for a well-earned drink in the 19th .

The state-of-the-art clubhouse features locker rooms , a pro shop , and dining options with panoramic views of the course and coastline .
