Located 5Km from Mar Menor , the Jack Nicklaus and DaveThomas designed course is a 6153 meter Par-72 course . The first nine holes were designed by Dave Thomas , par 37 , 3275 meters and the last nine holes were designed by Nicklaus Design , par 35 , 2878 meters with wide fairways ; with a great diversity of design and feel between each . There is little rough but the greens are well protected by bunkers and the surrounding lake . Hacienda Del Álamo has an 18- hole main course perfectly integrated into the natural terrain , large greens and strategically placed hazards make this an interesting and fun challenge to play . The par-5 18th offers a perfect risk and reward opportunity , where low handicap golfers will fancy their chance of birdie . Designed by Jack Nicklaus , this 6498 metre par-72 course desert style course offers a design which is in many ways like the great desert courses of Las Vegas and Arizona which were also designed by Nicklaus . These can be characterised with wide open undulating fairways which are broken in places by sand dunes , raised and undulating greens add to the test of golf here but very few bunkers on the course help towards a good scorecard . The focal point of many holes is the large 6 acre lake at the centre of the golf course , but with its beauty comes danger , as it ’ s cleverly designed as a hazard throughout .

El Valle Best Golf , is an 18-hole , par 71 course with 4 starting tees .
