La Manga South
La Manga ( South )
La Manga South Course was originally designed by Robert D . Putman in 1971 and subsequently remodelled by Arnold Palmer in 1992 . At 6,449 meters off the white tees , the South is a top calibre championship course . The front nine are particularly tough , with two par 3 ’ s over 200 metres and some daunting par 4 ’ s which will demand accurate driving between lakes and bunkers , requiring long irons or fairway woods to the green . The back nine , although shorter , has a number of intriguing dog-leg holes Located in the centre of the valley , it has wide , palm-fringed fairways and water hazards on 15 out of its 18 holes . La Manga Club is a sports and leisure resort , which is home to three of Europe ’ s finest golf courses . It has been nominated as one of the five top sports resorts in the world .
La Manga ( West )
La Manga West Course is a Dave Thomas designed course where golfers will feel that every facet of their game is being put to the test on each shot . Set amongst pine woodlands , the West Course ’ s design provides a distinctive character along the undulating land . The changes in elevation often deceive golfers in their choice of club . The tight front nine demands accurate driving to avoid the gullies while the back nine , up amongst the hills , is more open but nonetheless challenging . The unique surroundings with amazing views makes this a very popular choice for golfers .
La Torre Best
La Torre Best is an 18-hole par-68 course . A desert-style course with few bunkers that can be played with low shots , undulating fairways and large greens . La Torre Best Golf is an 18-hole par 68 course with 4 different teeing positions . Its short layout and wide fairways are suitable for intermediate or high handicappers . The lakes , bunkers and palm trees that surround the course make for a spectacular round .
La Manga ( North )
La Manga North Course is an 18 hole , par 71 course that was designed by Robert Putman . Its undulating contours , including storm gullies , palm trees , lakes and ‘ barrancas ’ all create a unique element to the challenge on offer . Although this course is slightly shorter than the South course ( 5753 metres ), its tight fairways demand precision rather than length . The large greens are all constructed to USGA standards , and provide a great test of putting . Danger on this course comes in the form of water hazards and ‘ barrancas ’ that snake their way through the course .
