DESTINATION GOLF PORTUGAL 2025
Terras da Comporta( Dunas)

Quinta do Peru

With the Arrábida mountains as its backdrop, the Quinta do Peru golf course offers amateurs a pleasant game, whilst also presenting a challenge for professionals. The course’ s recognised quality has led to the hosting of several events, including the Grande Final of the UAP Challenge Tour, in 1995 and 1996. The front nine can be quite tricky, as many trees and areas of wild flowers need to be avoided. A feature hole is the 200-yard, par-3 8th which requires a precise shot over water to an undulating green. Aside from the great course, don’ t forget to enjoy a drive or a walk through the beautiful Serra da Arrábida.

Aldeia dos Capuchos

Idyllically situated close to downtown Lisbon, in a quiet and beautiful location, Aldeia dos Capuchos promises the best of both worlds. Declared by the Portuguese State as a project of national interest, this resort received the Architecture Council Award for excellence. With 10 hectares of green space, the course stretches to 1,402 metres and presents an excellent opportunity for a quick game. With the sea as a backdrop, the 9-hole course of seven par-3s and two par-4s offers a beautiful design. Small undulations, a big lake and several bunkers will certainly sharpen up your game.

Paco do Lumiar

Located in the heart of Lisbon, this friendly 9-hole course is designed for golfers looking for a leisurely game. The course is located in beautiful surroundings and is always in good condition. Golfers come here to make use of the practice facilities, get a lesson from the club pro and perfect their game before taking on the region’ s bigger courses. Paco Do Lumiar is more than a golf course, however, as local families flock here for social functions and gatherings.

Terras da Comporta( Dunas)

Located one hour south of Lisbon, The Dunas course at Terras da Comporta has set tongues wagging with its mesmerising and vast landscape, and its beautiful design through sweeping dunes covered in tall pines. This is golf at its most elegant with sandscapes alongside holes disappearing into deep forest and the fairways a rich green laid out in front of you. The course, designed by David McLay Kidd, opened in 2023 to worldwide acclaim, and little wonder when the 1,000 hectare property is as peaceful as it is and the holes so lovingly laid out. A collaboration between José Maria Olazabal and Sergio Garcia will see the opening of the Torre course in 2025, making Alentejo the world’ s new must-visit golf destination.
