There’s no doubt that Portugal has been a magnet for golf tourism over
the past three decades. It now is one of the leading golf destinations
in the World, with award winning golf courses and golf hotels dotted
around the Country. Travelling golfers have over eighty golf courses to
choose from, with Championship designs by renowned architects such
as Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros and Robert Trent Jones, who used the
natural Portuguese terrain and coastline to create their works of art.

Across the last seven years Destination Golf representatives have
travelled to all four corners of Portugal with their clubs in tow. It is a
fascinating country for tourism, and the travelling golfer is spoilt with
a wealth of choice. In this publication we will provide a short review
of every course, but it’s our “Editors Choice” recommendations that
deserve your best attention.
Enjoy Portugal and enjoy this golf guide.
