Travel News Costa Blanca Golf Day The Costa Blanca region of Valencia hosted a golf day in Ireland recently at Carton House Resort. In attendance were representative from leading golf courses and hotels in the region, who met on the day with key figures from Irish press and trade. Everybody agreed that it was a super destination, and in the spirit of Ireland, they toasted with a pint of Guinness. http://www.costablanca.org/Eng Course upgrade at Castlerock GC Castlerock Golf Club will be investing a considerable amount of money into the golf course putting Northern Ireland firmly put on the map as a premier golf destination. The work will take in 8 holes in total on the Mussenden course changing the layout of some of the holes and improving the playing surfaces and bunkers on others. The Architect chosen for the work was Dr Martin Hawtree, who is a world renowned designer and has been involved in some of the best links courses in the world such as: - Royal Birkdale / Trump Aberdeen / Muirfield and Lahinch to name a few. The Project will start on the 16th of October of this year with the work lasting 8 weeks in total. This will ensure all of the holes and new look Mussenden course will back in play for Masters Weekend - 7th of April.
