In support of Disabled Golf
at Portugal Masters
For the second year The
European Disabled Golf
Association (EDGA) has
joined partners with the
Portugal Masters. An
International non-profit-making organization for golfers with
disabilities, EDGA was selected as the Official Charity for the
Portugal Masters for a second consecutive year!
During the 2016 Portugal Masters, over 22,500 euros were
raised, helping to train 20 PGA of Portugal professionals to
engage with people with disabilities, encouraging them to try
the game!
This year saw the total number of donations to just shy of
25,000 Euros.

As it prepares to celebrate
its 45th birthday later this
month, La Manga Club has
further cemented its
position among Europe’s
elite golf resorts after retaining its place in Golf World
magazine’s influential ‘Top 100 Golf Courses in Continental
Europe 2017/18’ rankings. The leading Spanish resort’s highly-
rated West Course was included in the influential biennial list
- despite the updated rankings featuring nine new entries. The
newest of La Manga Club’s three 18-hole layouts, the 6,347-
yard, par-72 West Course was designed by Dave Thomas and
opened in 1996, and the tree-lined layout provides the ideal
contrast to its older siblings at the resort - the North and the
South, a five-time host of the Spanish Open.

2017
This November, Regnum Golf & Spa
Resort in Antalya, is set to host the
Turkish Airlines Open Golf
Tournament for the second year
running on the award winning 18
hole Carya Golf Course.
Taking place from 2nd - 5th November, this is the sixth
tournament out of eight in the European Tour’s Rolex Series,
the premium category of the European Tours. Now in its
fifth year, the Turkish Airlines Open will once again see the
crème de la crème of the golfing world take centre stage to
compete for the $7 million trophy.

anniversary by celebrating its latest
honor as the No. 1 golf course in
Florida in the recent Golf Advisor
“Top 100” list of courses overall
since the rating began in 2012. El Campeón, which opened its
first nine holes in 1917, also was ranked No. 16 overall in the
nation based on Golf Advisor player surveys – joining an elite
group in the Top 20 that includes St Andrews in Scotland, the
Plantation Course at Kapalua in Hawaii, and both Pacific
Dunes and Bandon Trails in Oregon
