hina – Mission Hills Shenzhen
C
(World Cup)
The Jack Nicklaus designed World Cup Course was the first of 12
signature designs to be built at the 20-square-kilometer Mission
Hills resort in Shenzhen, accredited by the Guinness World
Records as the world's largest golf club. The number of courses
has since increased to 22 with the creation of ten more stunning
designs at Mission Hills Haikou on Hainan Island. Named in
honor of the World Cup of Golf which it hosted in 1995, the
World Cup Course at Mission Hills Shenzhen is widely regarded
as one of the most significant and influential courses in China.
The 41st World Cup on the Nicklaus Design course was the first
golf tournament to be televised live in China and the start of
over 100 international events at Mission Hills that would put
Chinese golf on the global map.
