To me , Dennis was always there to help anyone . Regardless of what the job was .
To me he was more than that . He was my saviour .
No , he wasn ’ t Jesus , but he was close . When my business collapsed in 1984 & I was sleeping on a bean bag , he provided an opportunity for me to restart my concrete business contracting to council . From this , I recovered & had a most amazing life . This eventually became a lifelong friendship , that I will always cherish . I was also impressed with his amazing gift with timber . When I moved to the eastern states , he gave me a clock carved in the shape of WA .
As he gave it to me he said : “ This is so you don ’ t forget where you ’ re from !”
Now whenever I check the time , I am reminded of who stepped up & provided an opportunity for me to rebuild .
“ Hang Loose !” Until we meet again .

My best memory of Dennis would have to be his overall knowledge on all things , and his willingness to help a friend or a stranger on the street . What a good man he was . We will always remember him for that .
