Culture by invitation
It is not just Danes that have been visiting India. In 1921
the Indian artist and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore was
in Copenhagen. As he left he wrote a letter to the Danish
students, who had met him with much passion:
“I invite you therefore, my young friends, to come to my
own country and there seek what India has to give of true
value and riches – and bring yourself too; because only by
true devotion and service love will set its most beautiful
flower.” -May 22nd, 1921
