Habitat:
Found in moister areas of the Pacific Northwest. Originally from scotland as an ornemental. Has become a serious invasive species in the west (Randall et al 1988).
Erect , loosely, brached shrub with slender green branches 3' to 10' tall. Leaves deciduous, very small, simple 1/4" to 1/2" long; smooth and light green abouve, laler and pubescent below, Flowers 3/4" long, bright yellow andpea like. Fruit dark brown to black, hairy legume or pod, 1" long. Twigs very slenderm green to dark green and ribbed (Randall et al 1988).
