Dwarf Oregon grape
Low evergreen shrub with pinnately compound leaves; seldom over 30” high
Leaves 10” to 16” long, pinnately compound with 11 to 21 oval/lanceolate leaflets. Fruit dark blue berries 3/16” in diameter. Twigs stout and numerous, light brown, lanceolate bud scales persist at the ends (Randall et al 1988).
Habitat:
Found on moist well drained locations in the sun or shade. On the west side of the Cascades and Sierra Nevada Mountains from British Columbia southward to northern California, east to Idaho (Randall et al 1988).
