DEMI LOVATO NEWS NOVEMBER 2014 | Page 10

INTERVIEW WITH Deborah Nana

Do you call yourself a fan [of Demi] or a Lovatic ?

I'm a Lovatic. If it helps, I started off as a "fan" of her music. Then I heard her story through the "Staying Strong" documentary around the time she started judging on X Factor USA. After hearing her story my heart broke for her. I couldn't believe anyone would bully someone so beautiful. I also couldn't believe someone so beautiful didnt know how beautiful they were. Listening to all her songs and a thousand Demi videos on YouTube later, I care more about Demi's health and happiness more than her music. That's what I believe being a "Lovatic" really means. Not because you've been there from "Day One," but because you value her recovery more than her next chart topper.

Exactly! When was the first time you heard about Demi?

My friend told me about "Don't Forget." I liked it. Demi was in her punk pop/rock phase then and I was drawn to it. so I guess around 2008 was when she told me about the song.
