DELUXE
PEOPLE
Under the label StelarBloom for Trapa, Marcus and Barbara Füreder
have unveiled their first designs for the wooden furniture manufacturer,
based in Austria. Previous projects for Lady Gaga, Lana del Rey and
Frauscher Boats laid the creative foundations for the two artists to come
up with their own furniture collection. Consisting of a dining table
and side tables with indirect, dimmable lighting, it has clear straight
lines and comes in seven different woods sourced from sustainable forests.
DELUXE met Marcus and Barbara Füreder together with Sales
Manager Benjamin Punzenberger in the south-west of Mallorca, where
the couple have a second home, to discuss art in all its diversity.
Herr Füreder, you are still on tour with Parov Stelar until the
middle of December with the new album Burning Spider and
will be performing in Barcelona and Munich. What can the
audience expect from your concerts?
First of all, we have completely redesigned the light and visu-
alization concept we are taking on the road - and of course
we shall be performing a lot of new songs. It is absolutely still
a show full of movement and ecstasy!
Frau Füreder, you have turned one of the dining tables in the
Voltaire collection into a unique piece by covering it with one
of your paintings. Will the table be sold as a one-off or do you
plan to do more?
This table was designed as a one-off piece and it will tour the
world until the end of the year, where it will be on display in
a wide range of showrooms.
After that we will probably find a place for it here in our
house in Mallorca.

Herr Füreder, how did the idea come about to design your own
furniture collection and to collaborate with Trapa?
In fact is has been a long time coming… Barbara and I have
both been active for many years in the design and lifestyle
sectors. Then quite by chance we found in Trapa a partner that
shared both our visions. After our first meeting in Mallorca it
quickly became clear that we ought to work together.
Herr Punzenberger, as a specialist in natural wood at Trapa
you are responsible for the production of the furniture line. In
Mallorca you also work for APM on the construction side.
What projects do you carry out here?
We not only manufacture tables and other pieces of furniture
from natural wood, but flooring, stairs, walls and ceilings, too.
The great thing here is that everything can be coordinated.
Either harmoniously or in contrasting tones. In Mallorca we
work together with APM and supply the flooring, staircases,
ceilings and walls for some really wonderful projects. It is a
