FIRST IN MALLORCA

Reality TV star and presenter Mark Wright
visited the Island at the end of May.
He took to the decks for one afternoon at
the BH Hotel in Magaluf, surrounded by
fans clamouring to have their photo taken
with him. He also spent an evening at the
Pirates Dinner Show.

Top Spanish tennis player Garbiñe
Muguruza Blanco and Serbian Ana Ivanović
were the stars of the first WTA lawn tennis
tournament in mid-June. The doubles final
saw Anna-Lena Friedsam and Laura
Siegemund pitted against Gabriela Dabrowski
(CAN) and María José Martínez Sánchez
(ESP), but sadly it did not go the German
ladies’ way. In the singles final Anastasija
Sevastova from Latvia faced France’s
Caroline Garcia, who went on to take the
title. Guests at the Players’ Night held at
the Pure Salt Luxury Hotel included Jelena
Janković, Genie Bouchard, Sabine Lisicki,
Daniela Hantuchová, Carlos Moyà and
Carolina Cerezuela.

WITH TIL SCHWEIGER
At the end of June, American movie star
Michael Douglas posted photos of his finca
in Deia with the following message: “Met
up with friend Til Schweiger, Germany’s
leading actor/ director, with whom I will do
a picture early next year. Til is a great guy
and I am looking forward to starring in and
producing a remake of his very successful
German picture ‘Head Full of Honey’.
Til will direct.”

Filmstar Michael Douglas Fotos von seiner
Finca in Valldemossa. Dazu schrieb er:
„Traf meinen Freund Til Schweiger,
Deutschlands führenden Schauspieler/
Regisseur, mit dem ich im nächsten Jahr
drehen werde. Til ist ein toller Kerl und ich
freue mich auf die Hauptrolle im Remake
des erfolgreichen deutschen Films „Honig
im Kopf”. Til wird Regie führen.”

Die spanische Top-Spielerin Garbiñe

beim ersten WTA-Rasenturnier Mitte Juni.
Das Doppel-Finale mit Anna-Lena Friedsam
und Laura Siegemund gegen Gabriela

Sánchez (ESP) konnten die deutschen Damen
leider nicht für sich entscheiden. Im EinzelFinale standen sich Anastasija Sevastova aus
Lettland und die Französin Caroline Garcia
gegenüber, die letztlich als Siegerin vom
Platz ging. Zur Players Night im Pure Salt
Luxury Hotel waren Jelena Janković, Genie
Bouchard, Sabine Lisicki, Daniela
Hantuchová, Carlos Moyà und Carolina
Cerezuela unter den Gästen.
