S6 Leadership Award with Languages
Three of our current S6 pupils have taken a hands-on approach to leadership by organising the delivery of 6 weeks’ worth of French and Spanish lessons to our cluster primary schools. Aimee is currently teaching French at Troon Primary, while Elsie and Rose are teaching our pupils at Struthers and St Patrick’ s.
This initiative proves to be an excellent opportunity for the S6 students to develop essential leadership and communication skills. As part of their leadership award, they are asked to take responsibility for the lessons planning, coordination, and execution – all of which are being carried out seamlessly. This also serves as a valuable tool in supporting pupils as they are about to transition from primary to secondary school, using our common love for languages as a driving force.
