Junior Netball

In Marr College , we have a Netball Team , full of motivated students . Recently the team has had little members and could not play in the netball league , but that has all changed from the new school year . The new S1 ' s are passionate about Netball and Marr College ' s Netball Team suddenly had enough players for two teams . The girls have a great opportunity to join the Netball league in South Ayrshire . They had their first match on the 4 th of December , and they lost with the score of 26-3 . They have also gone to play a few more matches , here are the previous and upcoming matches ;

If you are interested in joining the team , come to Miss Charles in the PE department . In training the girls practise a variety of positions , finding what position they favour . They practise shooting , running and catching skills through training . " I find Netball to be an incredible and underestimated sport , I think if others gave the sport a chance , they would be surprised about how great Netball is ." - Marr College Netball Player . " For our first game we did amazing , that was tough against a full S2 team . Well done to our girls ." -Miss Charles , PE Department .

Flipfest

On the 29 th October , Miss Waddell took 6 pupils to a noncompetitive gymnastics competition to perform against Ayr academy , Belmont and 7 other primary schools in South Ayrshire . All of the pupils that were there all had some level of gymnastics and some still do gymnastics . Miss Waddell choreographed their routine to the Lady Gaga song " Telephone ". The pupils had two weeks to learn their routine for their competition . " Considering the pupils only had a couple of weeks to learn the routine the pupils were brave and showcased their skills to the upmost level and did Marr proud ."
