Marr Cluster Debate 2024
For the past couple of months , P7s from the Marr cluster ( Troon Primary , Struthers Primary , Dundonald Primary , Barassie Primary have been working on a debate project where they had to come up with points and questions to use in the debate . Then on Friday the 8 th of November where they participated in 3 timed debates and were scored by the S6s , then the winning two teams , Struthers and Dundonald , competed in the final . The debate topics consisted of VAR in football , limits on screen time for children under 16 , mobile phone use in primary schools and whether homework should be mandatory in school . One Primary 7 said they loved going to Marr , debating and meeting all the other P7 ' s who participated . Well Done to Struthers Primary for winning the overall competition and to all the hard work each school put in !
