Meeting was called to order by President Lynn-Ellen St . Martin at 7:00 PM Public Open Comment : Welcome to Paul Hansen , new WSCA Board of Director
Secretary ’ s Report : Leslie Mason Motion made by James Duenow , seconded by Julie Gintner to approve the August 3rd , 2022 , Board Meeting Minutes with noted changes . Motion carried unanimously .
Treasurer ’ s Report : Arlene Bayer

Arlene presented the Balance Sheet and Income Statement . YTD Net Income ( Loss ) is ($ 62,869.52 ) and LYTD Net Income ( Loss ) was ($ 40,683.58 ). The CD balance is less due to the cash out of the CD , per the Motion made at the August Board Meeting . Motion made by Keith Sather , seconded by Amber Duncanson , to accept the Treasurer ’ s Report subject to audit from August 31 , 2022 . Motion carried unanimously .
Correspondence : Received late membership requests from NW Wisconsin Equine , Little Crow Riders , MQHA , MN North Star Paint Horse , Little Mountain Wranglers , Wilton River Riders , Sunset Saddle Club , Indianhead Saddle Club , Double Bit Riders Motion made by James Duenow , seconded by Josey Peterson to approve the late member additions . Motion carried unanimously .
Committee Reports :
Championship Horse Show : Steve Tibbetts The stalls will be hauled tomorrow to the Fair . They will start to set them up and need to be set up no later than Wednesday . Had a pre-Champ Show meeting , all set with the announcers and all set with the State Fair Wi-Fi . Arlene will get the plastic and zip ties for the split ring .
Computer : Jake Flodquist All the computers are set with Wi-Fi and Matthew will bring the devices .
Drills and Squares : Marlys Mooney The Flying E group did good at the State Fair , and they enjoyed it .
Futurity : Kathy Murphy Absent . Renee Lee presented the Futurity report . The Futurity Judges have been picked . The yearling classes will be held in the Agstar , and a PA system will be needed . Arlene will write out the Futurity checks during the show . The Futurity Committee would like Allan Spidahl to hand out the halters , as he was the one that donated them .
Historian : Tim Wampfler Absent . Nothing to report .
Judges : Kim Ziegler Absent . Sara Schwartz reported that one applicant is still missing a letter of recommendation . The applicant is aware which letters have been received . All three letters have been received for the second applicant and her application is now complete for testing in 2023 .
Reminders were sent out to the Judges to mail forms on time with correct postage and not to list non-qualifying classes on the forms in order to save forms . Reminder sent to Judges that it is not a disqualification for circling the barrel more than once in pennant race .
