As we move closer to the winter holiday break , we are anticipating schedule changes to accommodate the move . We are receiving the hub area and red wing back from Gilbane . Simultaneously , we are turning over the green wing for renovation . This shift from phase 7 to 8 requires us to pack and unpack classrooms from swing spaces to new classrooms .
Superintendent Drezek alerted the Enfield Board of Education of a possible shift to our regular school year schedule at their November 23 , 2021 meeting ( 11 / 23
BOE meeting ). Pending board approval at their
December 14 , 2021 meeting , we anticipate that our originally scheduled full day of school on Wednesday , December 22 will be altered to a half day of school . Students will be offered breakfast on this day but will not be provided lunch , as dismissal is at 11 am . The following day , Thursday , December 23 , we will follow our normal early release schedule with a 1 pm dismissal – students will be offered lunch on this day . The final change to our regular school year schedule will impact Monday , January 3 , 2022 . Students will not report to school on this day as we unpack and set up new classrooms . Students are expected back at school on Tuesday , January 4 . Again , these changes are contingent upon Enfield Board of Education approval . If approved , we will send out another communication to confirm with our school community . We appreciate your flexibility and understanding with this needed change to the schedule .
