‘Genuine parts’ seldom if ever carry the
real manufacturer’s brand mark, and as a
result emanate from an unknown source.
As they are supplied by more than one
manufacturer, this hides the true origin from
those customers who are brand conscious
or loyal to products from specific countries.
It is worse when some claim the part is
OE, as the only original equipment parts
are those used to assemble a new car,
and no franchised dealer sells OE parts
as they are not stripping new cars to get
them. It therefore appears that according to
dictionary definitions the independent parts
distributor is actually the seller of “genuine”
parts, because their parts are branded and
clearly identifiable as to both the source and
origin.

Yes, we are aware of the issues around the
use of the word “pirate”, but this was just
a tongue in cheek bit of fun. And it was,
after all, the Automechanika guys who
were using the pirate character as part of
their “Messe Frankfurt against copying”
campaign, and this campaign is aimed at
counterfeiters, many of whom, if the truth
be told, are worse than the Somali pirates!

FUEL ADDITIVE FOR HIGHER QUALITY PETROL
Engine exhaust system emissions are
subject to continuous reduction due
to European legislation. To meet these
challenges, engine manufacturers are
demanding high-quality fuels with special
properties.
MAINTAIN GASOLINE PLUS removes
deposits from the fuel tank to the fuel
nozzles. The product effectively prevents
harmful deposits from forming in the
combustion chamber, on the piston
crown and on the valves.
But not all these properties can be
achieved by refinery processing.
