With the theme of our beloved Tuffy turning into the Grinch and stealing staff belongings, we were bound for a memorable end to the year.
Throughout the assembly, games and activities filled the "spirit meter" to return Grinch Tuffy to our normal, missed Tuffy.
First, student and staff spirit was measured-literally-through roll call. Our Freshmen class sang along with an energy that contrasted heavily with their performance at the last few assemblies. And staff-as always-sang their hearts out. Even so, the Juniors won with the Seniors as the runner-up.
Next, children from Midland Elementary took the mic and gave us their thanks for an unforgettable Winter Wishes. Then, we enjoyed a performance from our very own choir and cheerleaders and a special appearance from Shoop's Troop. To finish the assembly, leadership led two games: a frozen T-shirt contest for the grades and a Hungry, Hungry Hippos game featuring Winter Sports teams.
In the end, our now-normal mascot returned all the stolen items and ended this extremely unique assembly.
