Max Cruz – Originally from the Bronx, NY, Max grew
up listening to everything from classic rock, to rap, to
R&B. With guitar experience that goes back over 10
years, Max’s first introduction to metal was hearing
Avenged Sevenfold’s “Bat Country” for the first time
in 4th grade and was able to learn to play guitar by
ear. Max found an ad online advertising an opening in
Deadtide for a guitarist, so he reached out and was
welcomed into the band. Max’s influences include Bri-
an Haner, Wintersun, Avenged Sevenfold, Dragonland,
Balflare, and Twilight Force.
Andrew Mortelliti – Originally from Valley
Cottage, NY, Andrew has been playing both
the bass and guitar for 15 years. After coming
across Phil’s guitar videos on YouTube, the
two met up at a metal show in NYC where
they began discussing Andrew trying out for
the band. Andrew joined Deadtide during the
mixing process of the band’s first EP “Ephemeral”. Andrew’s influences
include Iron Maiden, Dark Tranquillity, Amon Amarth, and Insomnium.
Daniel Touw – Originally from West Milford,
NJ, Daniel started playing drums in elementary
school, later spending 4 years playing the snare
in marching percussion. He later took lessons
with Joe Bergamini, a drummer on Broadway,
and has worked with musicians such as Neil
Peart and Jason Bittner. Daniel has studied jazz, funk, and rock music, and
has recorded multiple albums and EPs. He has also played hundreds of live
shows with bands that have opened for acts such as Alien Ant Farm, Head
PE, and Trapt. His influences include Breaking Benjamin, As I Lay Dying,
Trivium, Bullet for My Valentine, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of
God, Sum 41, The Offspring, All That Remains, Avenged Sevenfold, Rush,
and Dream Theater.
