I remember the first time my brother played me a Pompeii version of Pink Floyd, I felt a whole different
vibe in me! That vibe grew over time and turned into the most important part of me. I was a wild kid
who just discovered the electric guitar, which was impossible to acquire in that area so I had to create
one! I finally found a carpenter and had him cut my ridiculous piece of wood. We put two stone age
pickups in it and wrapped the whole shit up. Needless to say, I barely could lift that God damn shovel
but that's not the point! I was actually trying my best to find myself, the real me through struggles,
feeding the seed in me! So here I am, almost 26 years since I found metal and it gives me reason to live,
breathe and enjoy every second! For me heavy metal is not a casual concept. It's way beyond imagination. To me heavy metal is a sort of world view method & idea; it's an absolute mindset, a school of
thoughts!
As far as my eastern roots go, it's pure Sufism and mysticism, it means everything and nothing.
Heavy metal is definitely the freaks. It's people who don't fit in, the outcasts. Like I said, I like being a
freak! My heavy metal flag has been flying since birth, even through the darkest days regardless of possible risks back then. I am one drunk ass, original old school, heavy metal creature and damn proud of
it and I believe everyone who feels the same should be proud too. Metal has always been our rabbit hole.
We are special life forms on this planet, with a defined path of craziness! We are all held together by a
type of music or one song and it's not only able to hold us together, it keeps us together through its
manifestation of matter through sound. Truly, it is unity by music. Metal transcends all races, colors
and regions. Let the governments try, but at the end of the day it's the same bar, same beer, same
Harley, same leather and same music!
I've seen so many people who never get to meet any of their heroes due to the religious limitations.
Those who are dreaming to just have a t-shirt of their favorite bands, just to look at it. I’ve lived this
kind of life and lived with those who had to keep a cassette in their pants and run away from being punished. They were true champions of music, caring for their metal brothers and sisters, caring for us!
This is for everyone that's been a part of this lifestyle from the beginning to the end!
Take heavy metal as religion and carry the flag even though it gets you killed. Stick to the sacred
core! Whether it’s me or the next generation, it’s the same commitment to crossing boundaries and staying true as one!
