( continued ) showcasing 15 works done in bareek kalam in gold and natural colours . An intriguing delineation of spiritual imagery into personal manifestations is what lies at the heart of “ The Dreams of my Divine ”. says curator Kirti Parihar .
In Jai ’ s own words , “ this exhibition celebrates the inner festivities of my God in a way that they capture my feelings and his moods . Each festival has a different mood that has been embodied in the image of Shrinathji through his postures , his bhaav , and the elements surrounding him .”
// images from top ; image 1 // Night of Chandrima artwork - Describing the glorious night of chandrima , this artwork celebrates the competition of moon with Shrinathji where shriji is present in its supreme form of beauty . When challenged by the moon , Shriji emancipates in its most glorious form shadowing the brightness of the moon . Radha signified as a small parrot sits on the moon showering love on shriji ’ s victory .
The divine darshanams of Shriji are celebrated by angels snowing flowers on him where the colourful cows are enchanted by the aura of the lord and his “ bhavam of grandeur .” A special work of art in black where the shine in the form is achieved by using gold leafs .
This exhibition is a glorious depiction of festivals and events as enjoyed by Shrinathji where every artwork is a revelation of the supreme in his many forms and fervors as would appear in Jai ’ s dreams . A simple yet thoughtful conceptualisation of various bhaavs such as surprise , joy , playfulness , splendour and innocence brings Shrinathji from a sublime to more inclusive and realistic presence thereby making the paintings an undeniably contemporary yet personal delineation of traditional concepts .
“ The Dreams of my Divine ” is a magnificent confluence of emotion , beauty , vitality and divinity of Lord Shrinathji manifesting itself in the most unusual and contemporary presentation by artist Jai Khanna in the body of works showcased here . image 2 // from left to right ; Drasty Shah ( founder - the project cafe ), artist Jai Khanna , curator Kirti Parihar .
