Our Strategic Framework: Person-Centered Supervision( PCS)

CORE ELEMENTS OF PCS + CORRESPONDING GOALS & INITIATIVES
DCS believes the key to effective supervision is increasing the quality, not quantity, of interactions between officers and people on probation or parole. Therefore, in 2019, we developed the Person-Centered Supervision( PCS) Model for improving service delivery. PCS promotes success by recognizing people as unique individuals with distinct strengths, needs, and goals. In other words, it ' s our conceptual framework for implementing evidencebased principles.
With the largest community supervision population in the nation, DCS must strategically leverage research and technology to pursue our dual mission of accountability and rehabilitation. Our FY 2024- FY 2027 Strategic Plan outlines the desired future of our agency and the initiatives necessary to achieve that future. It aligns with the four core elements of PCS:( 1) Time,( 2) Relationships,( 3) Dialogue, and( 4) Intersections.
