Introduction
Fiscal Year 2024 was another year marked by progress. We reviewed processes and procedures to improve how we serve the communities of Georgia. Expanding upon supervision philosophy, successfully implementing engagement initiatives, and launching real-time data dashboards were significant accomplishments that pushed us forward.
Simply put, strategic planning charts the course from our mission, why we exist, to our vision, what we want to become. It wouldn ' t be necessary if the public service world were benign, stable, and predictable. Like any organization with a noble mission, however, challenges occur. Fortunately for us, change is at the core of what we do.
With our Person-Centered Supervision Model, we aspire daily to promote positive change in people ' s lives, provide opportunities for success, and increase safety within our communities. Although DCS is a recognized national leader in our profession, our best achievements are still ahead. This document highlights our top strategic initiatives for improving the overall performance of our agency.
