Winters Recreation in Sauk Centre is the

“We specialize in custom orders for golf carts,” said
Minnow Speidel. “We do college and sports themes,
stretch limos and even custom bodies like ’57 Chevy
and ’65 Mustang.”
Winters is known as the Midwest’s largest custom-
ized golf cart supplier. Customers will also find a full
stock of parts and accessories.
Owner Matt Winters has been in business for 20
years with specializing in golf carts the past 10 years. It
used to be known as Centre Motorsports, but the name
was changed in 2017. From a small beginning of four
employees, the business now employs 20 people. Along
with the showroom at 1184 Main Street S., near I-94,
there is a giant warehouse near the airport.
“Most of our inventory is there,” Speidel said. The
warehouse was built in 2018, with 18,000 square feet.
Winters sells both new and used vehicles. Certified
technicians handle the repair work. There are also
rentals available.
“We rent golf carts for specials events such as wed-
dings, weekends, gatherings and vacations, golf tour-
naments, WeFest and hunting,” said Speidel.
For the custom builds, professional painters use
automotive paint for detailing. The skilled techs not
only have the training but the experience of listening to
customers’ special design requests. Personal styling on
any golf cart is available for golf course, campground,
cabin or farm use. There are lift kits, specialized wheels
and lights. Customers can find endless seat options and
cargo and utility options. This could include a Bazoo-
ka party bar with marine-grade speakers, Bluetooth
and USB ports, LED illumination, remote control and
cast aluminum.
