Writing a story without a meaning is like typing the words at the beginning of this article, it’s meaningless. So the big question now is, ‘How do I put meaning behind my story?’ Honestly, it starts with you, what do you believe in? Make, whatever that is, the base of your story and keep it interesting. Remember:

1. Readers don't have to see the meaning at the start of the story. Work the meaning in there, sometimes, just throwing it in there makes the story sour.

2. Make the world a fantasy! Add vampires, werewolves, something that’s not normal because many times we’re not reading just to read about the simple, dull world we live in.

3. Make you’re meaning or moral one of the character’s goal. If your thing is, family, then make it one of the character’s goal to have that perfect, functional family.
