THE ENTITY
The Entity is the antagonist of “The Artifact”. The entity is shown to be an evil being who was trapped 1000 years ago by the old lady’s ancestors into a artifact and pass down the artifact through her family. He has tried to escape multiple times only to fail. He wants to be reincarnated into a psychical body and to do so needs a healthy and intelligent vessel and decides to choose the main characters body as vessel. But he needs to trap the Sean and uses two repairmen as puppets to trap Sean. He can only transfer his soul on a full moon. If the artifact is ever broken his soul which is trapped would have nowhere to go and thus would die. The Entity follows the coneventions of a sterotypical villian of a horror movie. He is shown to be an Entity or demon who wants a vessel to take over and is of supernatural origin. These all traits folllow that of a sterotypical supernatural horror villian. He doesnt follow the sterotypical ge group as he is 1000 years old but looks exactly like he did when he first got trapped. Him having a long beard shows that he was a person from long time ago and hides his true form. He is of male gender and doesnt follow the horror genre's conventions as horror Films mostly have female Villians with long hair and creepy white clothing. I instead had a man as a demon in black clothes.
THE FOLLOWERS
The followers were repairmen who came to fix a plumbing issue in the old lady’s house and end up getting controlled by the entity as his puppets who listen to his every command and speak a demonic chant that makes Sean not able to move but when they stop he can move freely. The followers are following the conventions of a horror genre where normal ordinary men become possesed by the demon and are made to do his bidding. They wear Black hoodies and chant demonic language which follows the conventions of a satan worshipper in horror movies. They belong to a young adult age group and donot follow it's traits due to them being controlled by the entity. They are shown to be of a lower class group by them being mentioned as workers and they were plumbers. Their attire doesn't support that due to them being controlled and turned into devil worshippers they have changed there look.
