The Third Sunday in Lent
EXODUS 20:1-17 PSALM 19
1 COR. 1:18-25 JOHN 2:13-22
Dear Lord:
I am reminded by you that in this culture of broken promises, your love for me is not transactional. Our offerings of gold and silver will not purchase a place for me in your heaven. But because you love me, you have made me all that I am and have given me all that I need. Your only hope eternal is that I will love you in return. Because in doing so, I will bear witness to your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
I ask that Christ’ s light be present with me this day and evermore, so that I might be your humble servant and a messenger of your truth and love.
