MARION COTILLARD
MICHELLE OBAMA
The image of the French actress Mar-
ion Cotillard becomes more graceful year
after year. We can all learn from French
women’s ability, especially the Parisian, to
look naturally charming and elegant. Even
when Marion is leaving her house wearing
a jeans coat, short skirt, printed t-shirt, the
hat and cowboy boots, she still manages
to look less of Texas cowgirl,
and more of just a French
lady strolling through Paris.
The actress adores the
hats in a special way and
wears them daily. Her
evening dinners are dominated
by dresses in new-look style highlighting
her slim shape and bustier form. She
religiously follows the rule of “nothing
excessive, only what is necessary”.
She believes that only one item
brings the difference, topping up
the composition. Lately, Marion’s
images are gently comple-
mented by retro-haircut —
short romantic curls.
The FLOTUS’s appearance compliments both the average folk
and those in charge of the world, she is totally adored by Amer-
ica’s ordinary folk. This clearly is as important for her husband’s
political career as for reaching the understanding with other world
leaders. Be the first lady in bad books — the President will follow.
Michelle Obama broke stereotypes from the day she entered
the White House. She infused free-will into smart dress code by
letting herself reveal her shoulders, wore colourful dresses and
jewelry, and shopped for clothes at cheap markets. Michelle can
often be noticed dressed in a bustier dress or slim fit sleeveless
bright outfits embroiled with the flower or geometrical patterns,
as well as affordable brands like GAP, H&M, ASOS, and Tal-
bots. Just like Duchess of Cambridge, Mrs Obama is
doing her best in supporting home designers,
especially the rising talent (helped Jason Wu
career growth). The style of the 50s is one
of the most suitable to Michelle’s taste,
with its lush skirt, waste line belts and
thread of pearls around the neck.
Extra attention paid to footwear.
Michelle, being naturally tall, often
gives preference to narrow heels av-
erage height, flat shoes, and flat boots.
Make a note, tall ladies, have to stay on
top even when shoes are flat.
QUEEN RABIA AND SHEIKHA MOZA
Separately going to highlight two women of the east: Jor-
dan Queen Rania and Sheikha Moza — mother of current
Qatari Emir. You will be mistaken to assume they appear
in public wearing hijab or niqab. Both, Rania and Moza, are
two of the most influential women in the Arab world and
are brave enough to challenge the traditional outfits. Both
skillfully mix traditional female Arab suite with elements of
the western world. The King of Jordan, Abdullah II adores
his wife and does not stop her appearing in public wearing
short-sleeved dresses or knee length, including jeans, shirt,
and high-heels. Sheikha Moza is much more conservative.
Her arms are always covered, skirts and wide trousers down
to the ankle, and head covered with a turban of matching
colours. Her makeup stands out, noticeably large jewellery and
slim-fit clothes. Worth mentioning that both eastern beauties love
accenting on their slim waists, which is admiring, bearing in mind
Rania is a mother of four and Moza a mother of seven.
The other role models to learn from, on the creation of sets are most certainly
the hotties Victoria Beckham, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr, American model and
actress Olivia Palermo and Tilda Swinton, another Brit and the fan of unisex fashion.
AMAL CLOONEY
George Clooney went bachelor for so long for a reason, so he could win over the amazing
woman like Amal Alamuddin. Amal is a Lebanese-born British, world-stage lawyer, UN adviser,
Saint Hughes college graduate of the Oxford University and Law Graduate of the University
of New York. She also is the new role model of fashion. She can give lessons on ‘choosing
outfits to circumstance’. She understands so well that elegant evening dresses, pencil skirts,
and calm-palette jackets must be worn to courts hearings or to the office; bright colours
shoes and handbags are permitted at informal meetings and events; at free time or parties
she picks raunchy short dresses, unique designs including multi-coloured shoes; she totally
shines like a Hollywood diva when she walks on the red carpet. The popular phrase says:
everything Genius is simple, then the phrase to describe Amal looks would be: plain is
stylish. Notice how modest her outfits are. A recipe is simple: delicate classics with small
highlights (handbags, hats, shoes).
