MP:“ Hello Craig lovely to finally meet you” CB:“ and you Mollie sorry it couldn’ t be any sooner” MP:“ no worries, I understand you are very busy” CB:“ so how can I help you today” MP:“ I just have some questions on a marketing strategy I have created to raise awareness of social issues, I have a presentation here, shall I run you through it quick” CB:“ yeah go ahead” ** MP runs through presentation of Coffee with a Conscience ** MP:“ So what do you think? It’ s fine to tell the truth any feedback will be helpful” CB:“ I think it’ s a great idea, you will really be empowering people, I particularly like Fika concept, independent coffee shops like to set there shop up around this concept it is becoming really popular.” MP:“ oh im so glad, anything you didn’ t like?” CB:“ its not that I didn’ t like it but I think it will be extremely hard to train staff on how to deal with people who are want help on certain social issues. Maybe you should advice people where to go to get help instead.” MP:“ yeah I was worried about that issues, maybe the baristas can point the consumers in the right direction to get help” CB:“ yeah I think that would be much better” CB:“ as then you are consciously providing a duty of care” MP:“ yeah rather than acting as a councillor” CB:“ I also think it would be better to use Kanteen rather than Home is Where, because home is where is more of a deli than a coffee shop” MP:“ oh I didn’ t know that, yeah that would make a lot more sense it has to be in independent coffee shop within Birmingham” CB:“ do you know what would be really interesting is putting on events and then inviting people to go back to the coffee shops to talk about the event, British people find I quite difficult to start talking to other people they do not know, this would be a call to action campaign” MP:“ yeah that would be exciting, that could be something to expand on” CB:“ there was this great festival called Queer spaces in Birmingham that looked at TV, film and art to produce a campaign for the LGBT community” MP:“ I will defiantly look into that it sounds very exciting” CB:“ love brum is a great organisation and a funder, you should defiantly work with them, but for me I have worked with Visit Birmingham before and they are a bit of a pain” MP:“ I just want visit Birmingham to create extra marketing material really” CB:“ well they will be good for that” CB:“ is there anything else I can help you with?” MP:“ I think that is all for now, thank you, it has been really helpful meeting with you, if I think of anything else, would it be ok to email you?” CB:“ yeah that’ s fine just give me time and make sure its in advance” CB:“ this is a really create campaign and there is such a need for it particularly within Birmingham, keep going, I would defiantly run this in Faculty if given the opportunity” MP:“ thanks Craig that means a lot” CB:“ no worries” ** End of meeting **
