CORBIEWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL
Corbiewood Primary School is a new net zero ready education facility under construction in Stirling, designed to support the expanding South Stirling Gateway development and provide modern learning infrastructure for future generations.
Construction of the new Corbiewood Primary School is progressing in Stirling as part of wider infrastructure investment linked to the South Stirling Gateway development. The project is being delivered for Stirling Council by McLaughlin & Harvey through the SCAPE Scotland framework.
The new school will be the first newly built primary school in the Stirling Council area since Newton Primary School opened in 1996. Designed as a seven-classroom facility, the development has been planned to support projected population growth associated with the wider South Stirling Gateway housing expansion.
Located at the centre of the emerging residential development near Bannockburn, the school is intended to serve new communities being created through the delivery of approximately 800 homes, including almost 200 affordable properties. The education facility forms a key element of the wider masterplan infrastructure required to support long-term residential growth in the area.
Architectural design for the project has been developed by Ryder Architecture. The school has been designed to meet modern environmental and educational standards, with the facility described as“ net zero ready” within project documentation.
Construction works include the main teaching building alongside external sports facilities, landscaping and active travel infrastructure connecting the school to surrounding neighbourhoods and Bannockburn. The wider site layout has been planned to encourage pedestrian and cycle access for pupils, staff and visitors.
