The Oakleigh in St Albans is progressing as a major £ 11.5 million later‐living development delivered by Kingscote Construction, transforming the former Burston Garden Centre site into a contemporary retirement community designed to meet rising demand for high‐quality, age‐friendly housing.
The Oakleigh represents one of the most significant new later‐living schemes in the district, forming part of St Albans City and District Council’ s long‐term ambition to increase the supply of specialist accommodation for older residents. communal facilities and tailored support.
