McLeod hosted a local supply chain event during the preconstruction phase which attracted more than 40 businesses from the surrounding area. This engagement has already resulted in local contracts being awarded, including work with a nearby quarry, materials testing providers and plant hire companies supporting the construction programme.
The development also reflects continued investment in rural infrastructure and construction employment across South Lanarkshire. Delivery of the wind farm involves collaboration between civil engineering contractors, turbine specialists, grid infrastructure teams and regional suppliers, illustrating the multi-disciplinary nature of modern renewable energy construction.
