Customer Service Week reminds me of a lot of holidays. We set aside a special“ day” to celebrate. It can’ t be a once-and-done event though, right? Shouldn’ t we try and carry forward our holiday messages with us throughout the year, like feelings of gratitude and thankfulness or letting family, friends and loved ones know how much we care for and appreciate them … and not just on certain days?
Well, I think the same goes for Customer Service Week. Yes, like many holidays, it is good that we set aside time for these celebrations. It is rewarding and energizing. It would be a sad, missed opportunity if after we put away the decorations and special recipes we didn’ t keep the spirit of these celebrations to carry forward into the year.
I hope that is what Customer Service Week means for you this year. I hope the gratitude notes, conversations, training, career development, fun and laughter carry forward and help build your culture into something everyone is proud of and happy to be a part of.
