Having a home that is affordable and safe and works for you , is key for us all . Whether you ’ re new to Bromford , or have been with us for years , we want your home to meet the standards you expect , and that you feel you are living in the right home for you .
Thanks to your feedback we understand that having a home that is affordable to run is one of the main concerns . That ’ s why we ’ ve concentrated a lot of our efforts over the last 12 months making sure that this is the case for as many as of your homes as possible . We ’ re now into the second year ( of four ) of the 1 % rent reduction . Hopefully you ’ re finding that this reduction , along with the improvements we ’ ve been carrying out is making your home more affordable to live in .
Repairs and maintenance is always a big issue . Nobody likes it when things go wrong and we ’ ve been working hard to ensure that whenever you need a repair , it ’ s carried out in the most satisfactory way possible for you . We ’ ve seen a huge leap in customer satisfaction in this area with 91 % of you saying you ’ d recommend our repairs service to a friend . There ’ s still work to do , but we look like we ’ re on the right tracks .
How have we done ?
Regeneration
Although we do everything we can to make all of your homes as efficient as possible , sometimes we have to make the decision to redevelop them instead . Over the last year five sites have been identified as needing improvement with work beginning on four of them .
We ’ re in the process of working up detailed redevelopment plans for our homes on Paterson Road in Cirencester and the redevelopment of the Airey homes on Levett Road in Packington is due to be completed in early summer 2018 . It will see 10 defective Airey houses replaced by 24 new affordable homes for local people . 16 of these new homes will be for affordable rent and eight will be available for shared ownership , allowing people who are struggling to buy a home in the area a chance to get a foot on the property ladder . In response to your concerns over affordable warmth we installed 2,484 over the last 12 months .

You rate your homes 4.5 out of 5 for affordability .
100 % of homes should be safe . 100 % of our homes are fire and asbestos compliant and all of our gas , oil and solid fuel heating systems were inspected for safety and had a valid certificate at the end of the year .
