If you had the opportunity to meet one in person who will it be? I would love to meet anyone of them honestly, but if I had to pick just one I would have to go with Phil Jarog. I need access to his paint shop so I can take all of his awesome ideas!( just kidding of course).
When did you first decide to start custom painting baits? Around 3 years ago I ' d say. I was tired of my store bought lures not having the quality I was looking for as well as the color selection.
What types of patterns are your favorite to paint? I love painting trout, I ' ve kind of become known for my rainbow and brown trout paint schemes, specifically on big swimbaits. I have been unofficially dubbed the trout lady. But I also really enjoy painting crawfish, bluegills and perch.
Do you only fish with your own baits or do you use others as well? As far as crankbaits go, mine are the only ones I keep around in my box anymore. I have a few from other painters laying around here or there, some I collect and some get wet occasionally.
