Scuba enthusiasts, and others involved with developing artificial reefs however, spoke in favor of the project, saying that after the city's initial outlay, Shipwreck Park will continue to bring revenue and tourists to the city. Kearns Construction Co. will handle the permitting and sinking of the vessel.
