Message from Director General
University of Chittagong has always been a place for students to sum up their idea and to come forward with their execution. Chittagong University Model United Nations is the dream project that was first initiated by Chittagong University Model United Nations Association( CUMUNA), a place of dreamers who felt the impact of United Nations as a global factor for keeping world peace. We, the student community think that there is lot to be done by the UN to uphold humanity across the globe and the practice of Model UN can influence a student’ s way of judging what the world needs more.
We believe that, students are the future leaders and they have rights to raise their voices regarding world crisis. After successful completion of the 1st Model UN conference in 2015, this year we have our theme which is " Save the refugees, uphold humanity ". And it is true that students have a lot to say on this burning issue.
This year, CUMUN 2016 is even bigger than the last one and we are hosting about 400 hundred domestic and international students as delegates. The practice of leadership and negotiation will be very much effective under the direct supervision of our Executive Board and secretariat panel.
I would like express gratitude to our respected Vice- Chancellor Sir for letting us arrange this conference and stretching his helping hands towards us. I would also like to thank all our teachers, our university administration and all the general students out there for having faith on us.
Last but not the least, it is the delegates from home and abroad who will make the conference successful. Thank you for your co-operation and for taking the lessons from CUMUN 2016.
