Message from Secretary General
We sailed our boat on 31st March 2014 and on 10th February 2016 it is going to reach its second port stoppage which is ‘ Chittagong University Model United Nations 2016 ’. It is my utmost pleasure to host the biggest Model UN conference of Southern Bangladesh as the secretary General . Thanks to almighty Allah . I welcome you all to the Castle of Green and the station of the only Shuttle Train in the world . Welcome to Chittagong University .
This year our research team has chosen the theme of our conference ' Uphold Humanity : Save Refugees '. The lives of over 50 million people are at stake outside there who are in crisis with their destination , identity , basic human rights and other severe problems . These crisis are spreading everywhere and affecting all the nations day by day . CUMUN 2016 is welcoming more than 380 talented minds from all over the world to sit together and handle the situation with diplomatic skills and negotiation . The mission is upon you all .
Delegates from over 50 different institutes of Bangladesh and abroad are joining CUMUN 2016 to enrich the discussion for saving refugees . The biggest gratitude goes to Chittagong University authority for providing us all kinds of logistical support and mental appreciation . Our honorable advisors were the umbrellas upon our head . I especially thank our honorable Vice Chancellor sir for always being beside us and guide us with his valuable advices . Gratitude goes to the United Nations Information Center , Dhaka and United Nations Youth and Students ’ Association of Bangladesh for supporting us as our strategic Partners . Thanks to all our sponsors and supporters to uphold this conference and help us to spread the concept of United Nations among the students . Credit goes to each and every persons of CUMUNA whose dedication , effort and team spirit made this history happened .
Our aim is not only organizing and hosting this grand event but also creating an album of the sweetest memories among each and every single delegate joining CUMUN . Time will fly but the memories will never .
