CIVILIzATION 6 has finally broken
the mold - providing more than
enough for veteran players to
upgrade

ivilization has a
history of being
its
own
biggest
competitor; each new
generation of the
franchise has had a
slow transfer of players
moving
from
the
previous game - and in
all fairness, why would
you? The previous
game will have had
various
expansions
worth
of
content,
and the new base
game simply couldn’t
compete. Civilization
VI however, seems to
have broken the mould.
Not only does the
game a dd layers upon
layers of complexity on
top of previously seen
content from Civ V and
its expansions, but its
added a mountain of
its own content on top
of that.
Without a doubt, the
biggest single change
is the addition of city
districts. While buildings
would
previously
all be confined to a
singular city tile, they
are instead located in
specialist districts which
the player can place
on specific tiles to gain
additional bonuses. For
example, a religious
site holds all your
temples and shrines,
while receiving bonuses
for being placed next
to mountains. This
adds untold layers of
complexity to each
game. Previously tile

were
mindlessly simple and
straightforward, now a
player must think ahead
and plan out how they
